Autobiography

I’m My perents ment in a party by Vauxhall station 12Years ago that’s what I know and decided to  have me originally born in Thomas hospital , but then I moved back to Sri Lanka and was cared for over there. By the age of 2 I was able to walk and moved back to London. Unfortunately, My dad and mum split up when I was 2 years old but stayed in touch. They were still good friends. I was originally rasted in London and wasn’t able to see my friends and family in Sri Lanka again. Then I was at the age off going to nears rely and was really happy at the time because I was craving to go to school.

I went to Arichbishop sumner primary school in kennington and had the best time in my life growing up. Until year 6 when I left because I had to go to secondary school now never again  I’m I going to go on them trips again. As a result I have grown up and I’m in secondary school which has changed my life a lot. Also I  have learnt to do things by myself and to make my own decisions which is quite complicated when you have been being cared for 7 years so I’m still trying. Now I have my own responsibility to do stuff on my own without any help from teachers. My time at secondary is really good because I made new friends and learnt so many new  subjects that I’ve never learnt before. It is really hard  because all of the year 8,9,10 will beat you up if you are to mouthy and if you mess with there younger (which means a person whose younger then them that they protect) . Anyway ,moving on to a much better note. They will give you loads of homework which is hard and annoying but good at the same time. But the worst thing about it is when you get your time table and have to go to your lesson you will get lossed  and get a detention for it when you didn’t even know where the room was. Now that’s ignoring.

Now I’ve been in secondary school for a long time and sometimes are still late to lesson which is shocking, its way different to primary I can remember when everything was done for you and all you had to do is sit back and relax, but now if you sit back and relax you will get in trouble!. Its kind of hard now because you may not like someone but you can’t do nothing, well as in primary if you got angry you will chase after them and if you did fight you will have a detention at lunch   which back then was the worst thing that could happen to you, but now if your caught eating, drinking, fighting or messing about in lesson you get a yellow card which is a 30 minute detention or if you do something terrible you get a red card which is a hour.

How decimation is shown it in role my thunder hear me cry

In this essay I am going to be writing about roll my thunder hear my cry. The book was written by a woman called Mildred D. Taylor in 1976,and was set in 1930.The book was set in the time when many Americans had a tough and depressing life, mostly black people. Although slavery ended, the book describes how the people lived and what they went through. The book also tells you about a system that was used when slavery was over, it was called sharecropping. The system worked in a strange and unfairly way, people would pay to work in the landowners farm to live and stay in the landowners house. The family would pay money to stay there but at the same time work for the landowner, all they get out of it is to sleep in a safe place. This was unfair because the people should at least get payed for doing the landowners dirty work instead of the people paying to work for him.

An example of discrimination in the novel is when the all black elementary  school gave the students poor conditioned books passed down by white folks. This  is seined in the book when Little man quoted’ ‘they give us these ole books when they don’t want them no more”. The quote gives an idea of discrimination because the white folks got the books first when the books were in good condition and when the black people got the books it was in poor condition. The black people got the books in poor condition because the white folks are more royal the them.

Another example about discrimination is that the schools are segregated meaning that the schools split up into two races. This was unfair because at the time the white folks were way more royal the  black people  causing rivalry between the two races. Every time the white people would get equipment for school when it is brand new, when the white folks get this equipment they don’t appreciate want they have  and break it but if black people had this present they will treat it in a careful way.

Another example from the book is when Lillian jean pushed Cassie of   the pavement causing him to fall to the ground .He got back up looking angry looking for revenge but in steed he walk out the store, as he went out Lillian jean demanded him to say sorry but looking in her eye he refused. Big ma  in shock  quickly nudged him and anxiously and made him say sorry, Cassie embarrassment   said sorry and walked off in anger.
